The Hope Program for Men and Women is the most effective faith based alcohol and drug recovery program in this area. Through a thorough application process and careful assessment, we also receive inmates that are released into this program by the TDCJ parole board. Many have found that this atmosphere of loving, biblical training has led to successful integration back into mainstream society. Hundreds of lives have been transformed since 1951. Faith-based and licensed chemical dependency counselor provides weekly counseling sessions. Each Hope Program participant receives training in Bible studies, computer skills, recovery, anger management, overcoming failure, temptation, practical life skills and more.
The
Hope for Men Program

Relapse Prevention Studies. In
addition to the
computer training given in the Faith City Ministries Hope for Men
Program, Faith City
Ministries established a vocational training center. This center allows
participants to prepare for taking the GED exam, offers additional
vocational skills and computer training through self-paced individual
and group instruction. Upon
graduation, disciples
have three options. The first is leaving the program and becoming
productive citizens of their community. The second option is
transitional housing. This allows the disciple to gain employment while
living at Faith City Ministries. The third option allows students to
apply for internship at Faith City Ministries. The intern then works
another year as part of the Ministry team.
